The Ogeechee is a real treasure. It is one of the few unspoiled rivers we have left, and I grew up about 10 miles from it. These photos were taken by the Highway 119 Bridge, just north of Guyton.

Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteI’m late posting these, but I got some great pictures this past summer.
Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteSome relatives of mine and I went to Juliette Georgia to eat at the Whistle Stop Cafe on Saturday. Juliette is very small town on the Ocmulgee River and is very picturesque. We did have Green Fried Tomatoes and Vidalia Onion Rings. We have eaten both of the dishes when in season for years. Juliette is a lovely place to visit if you are passing through.

I’ve always loved this field, which is located on Highway41 right on the Bartow/Gordon line. Today the light was good and the sky was great.

Cypress tress are the homes for a wide variety birds and other animals. It use to be open to the public for guided tours. It was wonderful for field trips. The scenery and wildlife are gorgeous!
I took a trip up to Springer Mountain, which is the southern terminus for the Appalachian Trail. The weather was perfect!

Note: Actual golf balls were not falling from the sky. Just hail.
Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteI have a friend that took me over to Barnsley Gardens this weekend. What a gorgeous place! I took lots of pictures, but this one was my favorite.
Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteI love flowers, and I love to photograph them. These flowers belong to a friend who had invited me over to take some pictures.
Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteI always post here in the spring, because well, it’s just my favorite time of year. I almost thought I wasn’t going to get to post because I lost my password for this site. Luckily, Wordpress came through. Hope you enjoy!

We had a great time at church not too long a go. We hauled in a great huge pile of dirt and invited the fire department. We let the kids just play! It was so much fun!
This is is what is so amazing about small towns, we do these nutty, fun things and we all have a bit of kid in us!
Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteNot many houses have these brick chimneys these days. This is the house my dad was born in.

Yes, the area I live in is still a farming community. That is changing as the area is becoming more urbanized, but the farmers around here are proud of what they do. And they should be!

Here are a couple of photos my dad took recently. The deer at Berry aren’t too afraid of people, as the campus is a deer sanctuary.
