Home of the Braves!

Turner Field opened for the Braves in 1997. It was built for the 1996 Olympics and then it was converted for the Braves. This photo was taken from the building I work in.

    That’s the GA state archives building in the foreground. If you ever need to do family history research that’s where you can go. The national one is off I-75 south I think.

    It will be interesting to see who buys the Braves. They are such an icon in Georgia now that having good management is important.

    I remember when I was at Georgia Tech in 1991 that the Braves had an unbelievable year that year. We went straight from Yellow Jacket Fever to Braves Fever that year. It was wild and so much fun!

    I’m fascinated by the archives building and want to add that to my list of must visit buildings!
