We had a great time at church not too long a go. We hauled in a great huge pile of dirt and invited the fire department. We let the kids just play! It was so much fun!
This is is what is so amazing about small towns, we do these nutty, fun things and we all have a bit of kid in us!

I think this is great! My parents would’ve skinned me alive if I’d ever looked like this, let alone near church! Kids should be allowed to be kids, and I’ve not met many that didn’t enjoy playing in the mud given half the chance. Congratulations on giving them such a fun time!
I think that why kids are so stressed out and don’t enjoy outside more is that perhaps we don’t let them do more things like this. Kids just need to make a mess sometimes and getting completely filthy is a great thing. I find it ironic that it is ok for the moms to go to a fancy spa and take a mud bath but not apropo for their kids to do the same thing in the back yard.
